Sensations

Wingjump gives you the opportunity to amplify your skiing sensations while adding a new dimension: the sensation of being lifted. Rediscover skiing with this new way of jumping, carving and controlling speed…

Safety

Wingjump helps to stabilize and control your speed. Your position enables you to speed up or slow down. This is a new way of skiing, approved by all ski resorts (slopes and ski lifts).

Simplicity

Wingjump is a wing that you put on like a coat and is added on to your usual ski gear in only a few seconds. You will get familiar with it very quickly. No training is necessary to feel the first sensations.

Each skier can have his/her own Wingjump! Our products fit the entire family, regardless of age, ability or expectations. All our wings will enable you to improve your skiing while discovering new sensations.

THE DREAM OF EXTREME SPORT ENTHUSIASTS

Wingjump is the story of a bunch of friends who are all into extreme sports, especially skiing and free flying.
It all started with a typical conversation after a good kitesurf session. The question was: what sport could make us safely combine skiing and free flying? Speedriding and snowkite provide these sensations, but they are extreme sports, and can thus be dangerous. We tried to imagine a sport that would safe, and that could be practiced with friends or family.

Our goal : to enable skiers, regardless of their level, to combine the magical sensation of being lifted, with that of skiing.

Quickly, we imposed on ourselves 2 major constraints:

Safety: Wingjump had to be as safe as skiing
Simplicity: it had to require very little training, with very simple gear to wear (no lines or harness…)

4 YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT

In order to get to an efficient project that meets your expectations as a skier, we started with a market study and specifications, but kept our original motto: an innovation that combines sensations, safety and simplicity for everyone.

From there, we quickly started drawing the first prototypes: wings that could be put on like a jacket, directly attached to the skier. But we faced a challenge: getting the air into the wing behind the turbulences created by the skier was easier on paper than in reality…

Each day out on skis gave us some hard work back at the workshop to improve our product one detail at a time: clamps to maintain the shape, straps to draw tight the leading edge…

Wingjump innovation as you see it today is a multitude of layers that we added up, one after the other, for 4 years. Today, a patent protects this technology enabling the wings to defy the laws of aeronautics.

2015-2016: CONFIRMATION

In 2015, Wingjump was not a prototype anymore. The first series were made in the fall and presented to the general public during The Coupe Icare and High Five Festival.

These events enabled us to win the “Prix Jean-Marc Mouligné 2015” (award for free-flying innovations) and, more recently, the “Prix inosport 2016”, in the categories “Technology” and “Design”.

For the first winter, we are launching the Wingjump Tour to meet our public: you, skiers who are looking for new sensations. After over 1,500 tests, we are proud to announce 90% of satisfied skiers having tested Wingjump.

Our wings have charmed the first clients and professionals (Tourist Offices, ski instructors and sports shops). Today, our new challenge is to enable skiers from over the world to discover them in order to start producing on a larger scale and thus making the wings more affordable.
